House etiquette

Learn the house rules before you sit down

The short version of how the room works, from sitting down to cashing chips back in at the end of the night.

Sitting down

Follow these before you take a seat

  1. Bring ID — the house dealer can ask for it at any table, any night, no exceptions for regulars.
  2. Buy chips at the counter first; tables don't handle cash once a hand's underway.
  3. If a table's full, leave your name with the dealer and you'll be seated as a chair opens.
  4. New to a game? Say so, and someone will walk you through the first hand before it counts.
  5. The house dealer has the final say on anything the rules of a game don't cover.
  6. Chips stay on the table until you cash out at the counter; they carry no value outside the room.
About the games

A few questions about the games we run

Which night is five hundred?

Mostly Wednesdays, with a seat kept for late arrivals most weeks.

Do euchre and bridge run the same night?

Yes, both on Fridays, usually across two tables apiece.

Is there a game with no buy-in at all?

Friendly poker on Sundays — chips are handed out at the door for the night.

What happens if two players disagree mid-hand?

It goes straight to the house dealer, not back and forth between you.
